Axissas Nikolaos
We focus on developing both our learners' oral and writing skills by providing them with hands - on practice during the lesson. It is of primary importance for the student to use the language taught on a regular basis and it is the only opportunity to practise with the teacher's guidance. As a result, the learner gradually manages to handle the language with ease which will help them perform well both in their oral exams and when they have to use the language in a freer and more natural context.
Use of technology in the classroom
Our interactive whiteboard is used throughout the lesson and students are encouraged to complete additional activities and tasks on it for extra practice. Along with their coursebook, our students receive an e-book which is the book used in class in digital form on which they can practise alone when they want to.
Cooperative learning and group work
Students work in groups to complete their tasks. This promotes both cooperative and peer learning as students interact and learn to assess each other. Group work motivates students, encourages active learning and promotes the development of communication skills particularly with more reserved learners. The need to belong, to affiliate with and to bs accepted by members of a group is a human emotional need and so this way of learning is in accordance with the learners' nature and needs, it creates a strong incentive to learn and it promotes the development of skills related to working in teams such as collaboration and brainstorming.
Access to foreign literature
Every academic year our learners are provided with readers, books that include graded language according to the student's level. They can also borrow books from our library. In many cases, books actually become part of the teaching and learning process and are not only used as an extra task since students may be requested to prepare a project based on the book read. Finally, during our summer classes, those who wish to practise further or are in need of a supplementary course, study the grammar and syntax included in these books whilst enriching their vocabulary.

Our language school runs two month summer classes in June and in July in order for the learner to complete a certain level or to provide further practice to those who wish.
Level completion
Some students who started learning the foreign language may encounter difficulty in the same subject at school or may simply wish to proceed with the next level. In other cases, they may choose to attend summer classes in order to sit an exam earlier than the original time set. To accommodate this, we offer fast-paced classes focusing more on the work done during the lesson in order to reduce the amount of work at home.
Further practice
There are students who may wish to practise the language during the summer months or to improve their performance. In this case, instead of using grammar books or the course books used in class, we study foreign literature analysing any grammar points encountered and practising the learner's oral skills through discussions and brainstorming. Videos may also be used to support this work according to the book chosen. These books (Readers) are divided by level, they are offered for free and they have been carefully adapted based on the grammar, syntax and vocabulary the student has encountered during the academic year.
